One of the older vineyards in the Kerikeri area, Northland, New Zealand

The Fat Pig Vineyard

Our wines are produced exclusively from grapes grown on our small 3-acre property. We work closely with local wine makers to produce our unique small batch wines.

Provenance

New to wine making Richard and Janet Baxter purchased the property in 2019 as Soland and James Vineyard. The name was changed back to the original name Fat Pig Vineyard started in 2003.

Home Grown

Along with our wines we also produce Avocadoes, Macadamias, Olives and a variety of other fruits and vegetables. All are carefully tended to daily.

Inspiration

Pigs are symbolic for the two us, the three-legged pig in particular as a sign of good luck. Consequently, the Fat Pig Vineyard was a perfect fit.
